There is lots to do at the K Diamond K Guest Ranch !

Horseback Riding:

There are miles of riding trails with
a different scenic view on every ride.
Riding lessons are given to guests upon arrival. With more than 30 horses, there is one for the beginner as well as the experienced rider.

Wildlife

You will feel a certain thrill of seeing white tail deer, coyotes or wild turkeys at anytime on the trail or
in front of the lodge.

Also many migratory birds are flying to and from their Seasonal homes.

Hiking
Take a leisurely pace of walking through tall timber trails, grassy meadows
and feel the grandeur of the valley below. There is an ever changing view with each foot step. See the wide variety of color in the flowers and landscape. You will be amazed how
blue the sky can be.

Biking
Back country trails and roads offer smooth pedaling for the adventurous bikers.

Hunting
The abundance of wildlife is the great attraction to hunters, small as well as large game. (in season)
Fishing
Try catching a colorful rainbow trout in the San Poil river that runs through the ranch. Or try your skill in several mountain lakes as well as the well known Curlew Lake just a short distance from the ranch.

Cattle Drives

Experience an Old West Cattle Drive! This seasonal event of branding, doctoring, and moving cattle occurs in the spring, pushing cattle high into the mountains for summer grazing, and in the fall searching the hills to bring them home for winter calving.

Off Season Ranch Activities

While the season for vacations is predominantly during the warmer months, ranch activities go on throughout the year. As a working cattle ranch, we are open all year. Calves and foals are born in the spring, hay harvesting in the summer, feeding hay in the winter and timber harvesting as time permits. Roundups, fencing and maintenance is part of our lives. Each month with its colors and changes is unique in itself. No matter when you come, you are sure to enjoy a distinctive visit. A time to relax is every evening on the front porch watching the sun set or in front of the fireplace during the winter holidays.
